  • What's included in the TGHC program? How is the program structured? How long does the TGHC program last?
    Our program starts with a detailed analysis of your latest lab reports to understand your health baseline and identify any undiagnosed health conditions. Then a coach is assigned to you who designs personalized meal and lifestyle plans after your first consultation. The coach does fortnightly check in calls and provides unlimited support on chat where she monitors your home glucometer or BP monitor readings, your weight, waist circumference, meals and activities such as exercise, sleep and mood. Our program fee does not include lab tests, medicines, supplements, meals, doctor consultations or devices such as glucometer or weighing scales. The program can be for 3 or 6 months depending on members’ preference and how busy they are. We recommend you join the 6-month program for lasting results because habit change takes time and because we want you to progress at a manageable and enjoyable pace.   • Who could benefit from the program?
    Following patients who are already diagnosed: 1. Type 1 Diabetes: insulin dependent as the body does not produce sufficient insulin 2. Type 2 diabetes: where the body has too much insulin and where HbA1c > 6.5 but < 8 3. Prediabetes: stage just before Type 2 Diabetes and where Hba1c > 5.7 but < 6.5 4. Other metabolic disorders: hypertension, high cholesterol and PCOS 5. Obese or overweight patients: Body Mass Index above 25 Following at risk members should join the Healthy Living program 1. Family history of metabolic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, etc. 2. High risk because of stressful and busy jobs 3. Those struggling with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, panic attacks, etc. should join our mental health program.   • Do you advise members to wear CGM?
    We do, as and when required, and depending on the affordability of the CGM device by the member. CGMs are an excellent way to identify how different foods and activities affect glucose levels real time so members can judge themselves which foods and activities are bad for them. But they are also expensive (roughly Rs. 25,000) and need a physician to install them on the member’s body. If you are willing to get a CGM device installed, please let our coach know and she can help design the appropriate two-week meal and activity plan.
  • Do I need a referral from my doctor ?
    No referral is required for our program — just reach out to us to get onboarded. However, if you are a diagnosed patient of Diabetes, Hypertension or any other metabolic disease, then, as per medical guidelines, you must consult a doctor on your own. We will request you to upload your prescription to be sure.
  • How is TGHC different from visiting doctor clinics or other similar digital services?
    Our program to fix your diet, exercise, stress and sleep works synergistically with your doctor prescriptions for medications. All medical guidelines emphasize that patients of metabolic health conditions should try to lose weight and should make diet and lifestyle changes to accomplish this. We deploy the latest, evidence-based science through a multi-factorial model to target root cause reversal instead of just managing symptoms such as glucose levels or weight.   • How does the app work?
    Our app will be downloadable once a member has signed up online. They can download the app from the app store or play store by searching for TGHC and login with the credentials emailed to them. Once inside the app, they will see their personalized plans, track their daily meals, biomarkers and activities and chat with their coach. They will also have access to curated content and will be rewarded for healthy habits.
  • How much does a TGHC program cost? What if I want to cancel my membership?
    The cost of a TGHC program varies depending on the services that the member chooses to avail. We recommend reaching out to us either on our customer care number (+91-6303046541) or by email (info@tghclinic.com) and sharing your requirements. Our coaches will guide you to the most suited program in accordance to your health goal. After the first call with the coach, the fee is not refundable because of the amount of work that goes into the preparation by the coach. However, we will be happy to restructure the program around any changes you might have not foreseen earlier.
  • Does every participant have ongoing support from a coach? How do I communicate with my health coach? Describe the education, qualifications, certifications and training of TGHC’s coaches."
    Yes, every participant has ongoing support from a coach. You communicate with the health coach via texts, Whatsapp messages, emails, audio or video calls. All our health coaches are registered dietitians, therapists or Certified Diabetes Educators with years of experience working with leading doctors.
  • Why shouldn’t I just try to do this on my own?
    You could. But there is a lot of misinformation out there not rooted in science and difficult to make sense of for most people. Worse, a lot of that misinformation could harm you if not properly coordinated with your prescription. Our program fulfils the need for actionable science combined with a dedicated coach for coordinating with your prescription. If you have diabetes or any metabolic disorder, you need continuous remote care for safety and for bringing sustained behaviour change. Having your coach to give you motivation, answer questions, track progress and make personalized diet and lifestyle plans will ensure success.
  • What privacy measures are in place?
